Bomb Threats

Keep the caller on the line as long as possible and try to obtain the following information:
- Time set for detonation.
- Exact location of the device. Description of the device.
- Reason for the threat.
- Exact words used by the caller. (Try to note voice, manner, accent, speech patterns, etc.)
- Complete a Bomb Threat Report Form.

Note any background noises such as street traffic, office machines, voices, music, etc.
Make the following calls, but DO NOT USE A CELL PHONE because it may detonate the device.
- Notify the Tredyffrin Police Department at 911 and any other appropriate agencies.
- Notify your office manager or supervisor.
- Notify Chesterbrook Management Office.
- Follow the instructions of the local authorities. Follow Evacuation Procedures if asked to exit the building.
- Remain available because law enforcement personnel will want to interview you.
